Journeyman Group, an Austin-based developer backed by private equity, acquired 16 acres near Princeton, Texas (5251 FM 982) to launch Princeton Point, its first Dallas-Fort Worth market entry. The project will deliver 306 multifamily units with a planned two-year construction timeline.
Journeyman expects first move-ins in late 2027 or early 2028. The unit mix includes one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, with projected monthly rents between $1,125 and $2,000 positioned as workforce-affordable. Amenities are planned to include a pool, fitness center, clubhouse and theater, plus package lockers and a dog wash.
The seller, Ray Johnston of No Bad Days LLC, closed on April 14, and the deal involved brokers from Edge Realty Partners and Shop Companies.
