Anthropic's cost docs say enterprise deployments average around $13 per developer per active day and $150 to $250 per developer per month on API billing.
Who is Claude Code best for?
A good fit if you
- GTM engineers who write scripts, API integrations and data transformations and want an agent to build and run them from the terminal.
- Teams already on Claude Team or Enterprise, where Claude Code usage draws from each seat's allowance and Anthropic does not train on the data under commercial terms.
- Driving Clay from code: Clay's docs say its agent plugin requires a coding-agent host with a shell such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.
- Prototyping automations before moving them into n8n, Make or a production worker.
Look elsewhere if you
- Free Claude users: Anthropic's pricing page shows Claude Code is not included on the Free plan.
- People who want a no-code visual workflow builder; Claude Code works through prompts, files and commands.
- Teams needing hard, predictable costs on API billing without setting workspace spend limits, since usage is billed per token.
- Running unattended against live CRM or sending tools without review; Anthropic's MCP docs warn that servers fetching external content can expose you to prompt injection.
Does Claude Code integrate with Clay and your CRM?

- Native Clay integration. Clay publishes an official agent plugin for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor that installs the clay CLI, signs you in and gives the agent Clay's skills; Clay also offers a Public API authenticated with a clay-api-key header. Under commercial terms (Team, Enterprise, API) Anthropic does not train on Claude Code prompts or code and retains data for 30 days by default, with zero data retention available to qualified Enterprise accounts. No, Claude Code is not included on the free Claude plan. It comes with Pro ($20/mo, or $17/mo billed annually), Max, Team and Enterprise, or you can pay per token through a Claude Console API account.
Can I use Claude Code with a Pro subscription?
Yes, Claude Pro includes Claude Code. Usage is shared with Claude chat and resets on a rolling five-hour window, with weekly limits on paid plans. Max gives 5x or 20x Pro's usage per session if you hit the limits often.
Can non-developers use Claude Code for GTM work?
Claude Code takes plain-language instructions, but it works through files and shell commands, so you need to be comfortable approving commands it runs. The desktop app and claude.ai/code in the browser avoid a terminal install. GTM engineers use it for scripts, API calls and tools like Clay's CLI.
Does Claude Code train on my data?
Under commercial terms (Team, Enterprise and API), Anthropic says it does not train on code or prompts sent to Claude Code. On Free, Pro and Max accounts, data is used for training only if the user turns that setting on. Commercial data is retained for 30 days by default.
How do I connect Claude Code to my CRM?
You connect a CRM to Claude Code by adding its MCP server, for example claude mcp add --transport http hubspot https://mcp.hubspot.com/anthropic as shown in Anthropic's docs. Any remote server in the Anthropic Directory can be added the same way, and /mcp handles OAuth sign-in.
