Dropcontact: pricing, features and alternatives

French B2B email finder and enrichment tool that generates and verifies emails algorithmically, with no stored contact database.

Researched by the Tentt team · draft awaiting expert review · Updated

Dropcontact is a French B2B email finder that builds and verifies work emails algorithmically, without storing a contact database, and refunds credits when no email is found. As of October 2026 Starter starts at €79 a month and Growth at €120 a month, with 50 free credits to test and custom Enterprise pricing from 200,000 credits a month.

What does Dropcontact do?

  • Finds and verifies work emails from a name plus company, company domain or LinkedIn URL, labelling each address as nominative, catch_all, generic, random or invalid.
  • Cleans and completes contact records: civility, normalised first and last name, phone, LinkedIn URL, job title, job level and job function (job cleaning and AI job classification are on Growth).
  • Adds French registry data on request (SIREN, SIRET, VAT number, NAF code), which is useful when your ICP includes French companies.
  • Enriches in batches of up to 250 contacts per API request at up to 60 requests per second, returning results by polling or a callback webhook.
  • Detects company changes and matches company names to domains on the Growth plan, which helps catch job movers in an existing list.
  • Runs as a separate CRM-enrichment subscription for HubSpot and Pipedrive, kept apart from the Email Finder credits used for files and API.

Where does Dropcontact fit in a GTM engineering stack?

Dropcontact is the GDPR-conscious email-finding and data-cleaning step in a GTM engineering stack: it takes contacts you already hold, returns a qualified work email and normalised job and company fields, and keeps nothing afterwards.

  1. 1Phantombuster, Surfe or a Clay table captures names, companies and LinkedIn URLs
  2. 2Dropcontact enriches batches of up to 250 contacts and labels each email nominative, catch_all or invalid
  3. 3Clay filters out invalid addresses and sends catch-alls to a separate, lower-volume campaign
  4. 4Clean contacts sync to HubSpot or Pipedrive and enter a lemlist or La Growth Machine sequence

Who is Dropcontact best for?

A good fit if you

  • European teams whose legal reviewers ask where contact data is stored, since Dropcontact says it stores no personal data and processes only on EU servers.
  • Cleaning messy CRM or event lists: name normalisation, job classification and company-domain matching come in the same call as the email.
  • Clay users who want a GDPR-focused email step in a waterfall, through Clay's two Dropcontact actions on Clay credits or your own account.
  • Teams selling into France who need SIREN, SIRET and NAF codes alongside contact data.

Look elsewhere if you

  • Phone-led outbound: Dropcontact's product and pricing centre on email, not verified mobile numbers.
  • Building net-new lists from scratch, because Dropcontact enriches contacts you already have rather than offering a searchable prospect database.
  • Teams expecting to use one credit pool for files and CRM, since Email Finder credits cannot be used to enrich a CRM.
  • Low-volume buyers comparing entry prices: the €79 Starter base price is higher than several pay-per-email tools.

Does Dropcontact integrate with Clay and your CRM?

Clay
Native Clay integration. Clay lists a Clay-built Dropcontact integration with two actions: Enrich Person (full name plus company name, domain or company profile URL) and Find Work Email. Both run on Clay credits or your own Dropcontact account, and Clay says it is included on all Clay plans. Per-action credit costs are not listed. (source)
Integrations
Dropcontact lists native integrations with HubSpot, Pipedrive, monday and folk (Salesforce, Sellsy and Crisp marked coming soon); QuickMail and SmartReach; n8n, Zapier, Make, Clay, Pabbly and others; LinkedIn tools such as Phantombuster, La Growth Machine, Waalaxy, Surfe and Evaboot; Google Sheets; and an MCP server. (source)
GDPR
Dropcontact says it stores no personal data after processing, that all processing happens on European servers with no transfer outside the EU, and that the CNIL audited it on site in 2019 and closed audit no. 2019-168C on 6 November 2020. A DPA is published. Dropcontact's argument is that, with no stored database, there is nothing to resell or retain; your own lawful basis for prospecting still applies. (source)
Data coverage
Dropcontact says it does not use or store a contact database: it generates candidate emails with proprietary algorithms and verifies them against mail servers in real time, without third-party verification services. It claims validity rates of 99% for nominative emails and 97% for catch-all emails. These are vendor claims. (source)

Dropcontact FAQs

How does Dropcontact find emails without a database?

Dropcontact says it generates likely email patterns with its own algorithms and tests them against the company's mail server in real time. Nothing is stored afterwards, so each request is a fresh lookup. The upshot is that it needs a real name and company to work from, not a search query.

Does Dropcontact find mobile phone numbers?

Dropcontact's API returns phone and mobile fields when available, but its pricing and product pages are built around email finding and verification. If direct dials are central to your outbound, pair it with a phone-focused provider in your Clay waterfall.

What does catch_all mean in Dropcontact results?

A catch_all qualification means the company's mail server accepts every address, so the specific mailbox cannot be confirmed. Dropcontact still returns the most likely address and claims a 97% validity rate on catch-alls. Many teams send these through a separate, slower campaign to protect deliverability.

Can I use Dropcontact credits to enrich HubSpot?

No. Dropcontact says Email Finder credits cannot be used to enrich a CRM. CRM enrichment for HubSpot and Pipedrive (with Salesforce listed as coming soon) is a separate subscription.

What are the Dropcontact API limits?

Dropcontact's API accepts up to 250 contacts per request, each under 15 kB, with a limit of 60 requests per second. Results come back via a GET on the request ID or a custom callback webhook. Each contact needs a name plus company, a LinkedIn URL, or an email.
