What does Outreach do?
- Runs multichannel sequences (email, calls, tasks) for reps, with each prospect's progress tracked as a sequenceState that the API can create, advance or finish.
- Packages the platform as Amplify Essentials (10,000 AI credits), Core (25,000), Plus (50,000) and Pro (100,000), with seat licences on top and extra credit packs available.
- Sets API capacity by package: 250,000 API calls on Core, 500,000 on Plus and 1,000,000 on Pro, alongside 5, 10 and 20 custom objects respectively.
- Fires webhooks on 14 resource types, including mailing (bounced, delivered, opened, replied), sequenceState (advanced, finished) and task (completed).
- Includes an integrated dialer, real-time call transcription, deal and pipeline management, and (on Pro) forecasting and territory management.
- Exposes an Outreach MCP server and client on every Amplify package, alongside the OAuth 2.0 REST API.
Where does Outreach fit in a GTM engineering stack?
Outreach is the rep-facing execution layer in an enterprise GTM engineering stack: Clay or a signal tool decides who to contact, and Outreach runs the sequence, calls and tasks from the rep's own mailbox.
- 1A signal (job change, funding, website visit) lands a new row in a Clay table
- 2Clay enriches the contact, then Lookup Prospect checks whether Outreach already has them
- 3Create or Update Prospect writes the record, and Add to Sequence enrols it with the right rep's mailbox
- 4Outreach webhooks on replied or finished sequenceStates trigger n8n to update Salesforce or create a task

Who is Outreach best for?
A good fit if you
- Sales teams of AEs and SDRs on Salesforce who need sequencing, calling and deal management in one licensed platform, since Salesforce is Outreach's most documented CRM sync.
- GTM engineers who need to write Clay-sourced prospects into an existing Outreach instance, using Clay's Create Prospect, Update Prospect and Add to Sequence actions.
- Teams that react to engagement events in code, since webhooks cover replies, bounces and finished sequences for routing in n8n or Make.
Look elsewhere if you
- Small teams or founders who want to self-serve: there is no public price, no published free trial and every package goes through sales.
- High-volume cold email from many secondary domains; Outreach is built around rep mailboxes and seats, not mailbox rotation and warm-up like Smartlead or Instantly.
- HubSpot-first teams expecting deep sync: Outreach's own FAQ says HubSpot email sync runs one way (Outreach to HubSpot) and the integration is managed by HubSpot engineers.
Does Outreach integrate with Clay and your CRM?
- Clay
- Native Clay integration. Clay lists Outreach as a Clay-built integration on Launch and above, with actions to Create Prospect, Update Prospect, Lookup Prospect, Lookup Mailbox by Email Address, Create Task and Add to Sequence. All but one Create Task listing require you to connect your own Outreach account. (source)
- Integrations
- Bidirectional CRM plugins for Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics (the Dynamics plugin is disabled by default and enabled by Outreach Support); HubSpot via a HubSpot-managed integration with one-way email sync; Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Webex for meetings; Slack; a marketplace; plus REST API, webhooks and MCP. (source)
- GDPR
- Outreach states it acts as data processor with the customer as controller, includes EU model clauses in customer contracts for international transfers, and offers an EU data centre for customers who require EU data tenancy. It supplies its DPA to customers who need it. Its trust page lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001, HIPAA and CSA STAR. (source)

Which GTM stacks use Outreach?
Outreach FAQs
How much does Outreach cost per user?
Outreach does not publish a per-user price. Its pricing page lists four Amplify packages, all marked "request pricing", combining seat licences with an AI credit allowance from 10,000 to 100,000 credits. You need a sales conversation to get a quote.
Can Clay add contacts to an Outreach sequence?
Yes. Clay's Outreach integration includes an Add to Sequence action, plus Create Prospect, Update Prospect and Lookup Prospect, so you can deduplicate before enrolling. You connect your own Outreach account, and the integration is available on Clay's Launch plan and above.
Does Outreach have webhooks?
Yes. Outreach webhooks can fire on resources including prospect, mailing (bounced, delivered, opened, replied), sequenceState (created, advanced, finished) and task (completed). Outreach gives receivers a 5-second timeout and does not retry deliveries that get a 429 response.
Does Outreach work with HubSpot?
Outreach connects to HubSpot, but its own FAQ says email activity syncs one way, from Outreach to HubSpot, and the integration is managed by HubSpot engineers. Record sync frequency and direction are set in HubSpot. Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics have Outreach-built bidirectional plugins.
Is Outreach good for cold email at volume?
Outreach is designed for reps sending from their own mailboxes inside a seat-based licence, with calls and tasks in the same sequence. Teams sending from dozens of secondary domains usually use a dedicated cold email tool such as Smartlead or Instantly for that layer instead.
