What does Surfe do?
- Adds a LinkedIn profile to the CRM in one click from inside the feed, creating the contact (and deals) and keeping it in two-way sync with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive or Copper; the free plan limits this to 1 contact a day.
- Finds work emails and mobile numbers through a waterfall it says checks 15+ providers, with annual credit pools: 240 emails and 60 mobiles on Free, 1,800 and 600 on Essential, 12,000 and 1,200 on Pro.
- Searches companies and people with filters (1,000 results a week on Free and Essential, 10,000 a day on Pro) and suggests lookalike accounts and similar profiles.
- Pushes contacts into Outreach, Salesloft and lemlist sequences (Pro and above) and exports enriched lists to Google Sheets (Essential and above).
- Offers a REST API and MCP server: 10 requests per second per user with bursts of 20, and people enrichment quotas of 50,000 profiles a day, capped at 20,000 an hour.
Where does Surfe fit in a GTM engineering stack?
Surfe sits at the rep-facing edge of a GTM engineering stack: it captures the LinkedIn profiles a seller chooses into the CRM with contact data attached, and inside Clay it is one more email and mobile provider in a waterfall.
- 1Clay runs Surfe's find email step after a primary provider returns nothing for a row
- 2Rows still missing a mobile try Surfe's find mobile phone number action on Clay credits
- 3Separately, a rep viewing a LinkedIn profile adds it to Salesforce or HubSpot through the Surfe extension
- 4Surfe pushes that contact into a lemlist, Outreach or Salesloft sequence on Pro

Who is Surfe best for?
A good fit if you
- Sales teams that prospect manually on LinkedIn and want each profile they choose to land in the CRM with an email and phone attached, without copy and paste.
- Pipedrive, HubSpot and Salesforce users who want enrichment written straight into CRM records rather than into a separate spreadsheet.
- Clay users who want Surfe's waterfall as one more provider: Clay runs Surfe's find email, find mobile and find people actions on Clay credits, with no Surfe account needed.
Look elsewhere if you
- Bulk, unattended list building: Surfe's core is a rep clicking through profiles, and outbound automation lives in the sequencers it pushes to.
- Sending LinkedIn messages or connection requests at scale; Surfe offers message templates but is not an outreach automation tool.
- Teams wanting API-driven waterfall enrichment on a self-serve plan: the pricing page lists the search and waterfall enrichment API under Enterprise.
- Close or Attio users, since Surfe's listed CRM integrations are HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Copper.
Does Surfe integrate with Clay and your CRM?
- Clay
- Native Clay integration. Clay lists Surfe as a Clay-built data provider included on all Clay plans, charged in Clay credits only, so no Surfe account is needed. Clay reads data from Surfe through five actions: enrich company (by domain), find email and find mobile phone number (from a profile URL or name plus company), find people at company (by title, seniority and department) and find professional profile. Clay does not write records into Surfe. (source)
- Integrations
- CRMs: HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Copper. Sales engagement: Outreach, Salesloft, lemlist and Aircall. Also Clay, n8n (via the API), Google Sheets, and an MCP server for AI assistants such as Claude. (source)
- GDPR
- Surfe's DPA (updated 17 February 2026) has two parts: Surfe is an independent controller for data it collects to build its own database, and a processor when it enriches a customer's existing records on instruction. Transfers of EEA data to countries without adequacy use Standard Contractual Clauses, and Surfe commits to notifying customers within 48 hours of confirming a breach. Its trust centre states ISO 27001 certification and third-party penetration testing. (source)
- Data coverage
- Surfe says it validates contact data across 15+ data providers in real time at the moment of each lookup, rather than serving a periodically refreshed database. It reports more than 1 million enrichments a month for 50,000+ users (vendor figures). (source)

Which GTM stacks use Surfe?
Surfe FAQs
Is Surfe allowed under LinkedIn's terms?
Surfe does not address LinkedIn's terms on its pricing, integrations or extension pages, which refer to "business socials" rather than naming LinkedIn. LinkedIn's help centre says it does not permit browser extensions that scrape or automate activity on its site. Surfe works on profiles a rep opens and does not send LinkedIn actions, but you should still weigh LinkedIn's policy before rolling it out.
Can Surfe update existing CRM records or only create new ones?
Surfe describes its CRM sync as bidirectional, and its Salesforce integration page promises continuous enrichment of records, so it is built to keep existing contacts current as well as create new contacts and deals from a profile. On the free plan, 1-click Add to CRM is limited to 1 contact a day.
Do I need a Surfe subscription to use Surfe inside Clay?
No. Clay lists every Surfe action as Clay credits only, so Clay bills the lookup and you do not connect a Surfe account. A Surfe subscription matters only if your reps also use the Chrome extension or you call Surfe's API directly.
What are the Surfe API rate limits?
Surfe's API accepts 10 requests per second per user with bursts of up to 20, and returns a 429 when exceeded. People enrichment is capped at 50,000 profiles a day, 20,000 an hour and 10,000 a minute, while people search is limited to 200 results a day unless search credits are enabled, which raises it to 100,000.
Do Surfe credits get used for email validation?
No. Surfe's pricing table lists email validation as unlimited on every plan, including Free, while email finds and mobile finds draw on separate yearly credit pools. A mobile lookup therefore never eats into your email allowance.
